The inauguration of the Economics Association of Sacred Heart College, Thevara was held on 9th august 2023 at the Melesius Hall, SH college at 2:30 p.m. The inaugural function began with a formal prayer. Following the same, Dr Siby Abraham, Head of the Department of Economics welcomed the dignitaries and students to the gathering. Rev Fr Dr Joseph Varghese CMI, the Vice Principal of SH college delivered the presidential address.
Mr Balagopal Chandrashekhar, Former IAS Officer, Founder and Managing Director of TERUMO PENPOL Ltd and Former Director of Federal Bank Ltd, inaugurated the function. In the keynote address he emphasised on the Role of entrepreneurship in economic development. It was followed by a very lively interactive session with the audience. Adarsh P Nair presented the annual report of Economics Association 2022-23.
Following the same, the former secretaries of the Economics Association handed over the report book and responsibilities to the new office bearers, Navaneeth P R and Mariyam Susan Manoj. The meeting concluded at 4.30pm with formal vote of thanks.
