‘AVVAI SHANMUGI ‘, the Fresher’s Day of the Department of Economics, Sacred Hearts College, Thevara, during the academic year 2023-24 for the first-year undergraduate students were hosted on 8th August 2023, 2:30pm at the Marian Hall organized by the Economics Association 2023-24. The events included interactive sessions, games for first year students and cultural events.
This year also ‘Mr and Miss’ fresher was selected through various competitions. Many games and cultural programmes were conducted by the students as a part of the ‘fresher’s day’ celebration. By this event the association welcomed the freshers to Economics family. Dr Siby Abraham, Head of the Department of Economics and other faculty members of the Economics department addressed the gathering. The event was concluded with a formal vote of thanks.
